| Samsung Galaxy S5 to have finger-print scanner in the Home Button |
There have been numerous leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone, it now comes into light from SamMobile that the Galaxy S5 will have a fingerprint scanner. Just like Apple iPhone 5s, Samsung has also incorporated the fingerprint scanner in the physical Home Button but differs in the way it works. Earlier reports hinting at eye scanner have been dumped and the presence of finger print scanner is now confirmed by Sammobile.
Samsung’s fingerprint scanner works different from Apple, it will require the user to swipe through the scanner in order to register the finger print. The scanner can store up to 8 finger prints of which 1 will be used for unlocking the device and other can be used as short cut to launch other apps or to store private data. With the Galaxy S5 Samsung is said to introduce a new feature called the Private mode, in which a user can store Apps, games and or personal data to a special location that can only be accessed with the assigned fingerprint or another mode of unlock (set by user).
With this fingerprint scanner Samsung will also allow user to assign user name and passwords to specific finger and thus when log in is needed the user need not type the ID and Password, just a swipe of the assigned finger will do the job.
Given the list of features Samsung has certainly over taken Apple and with the Galaxy S5 life will certainly be easy.
